Brief Overview
Diammonium phosphate is a water-soluble ammonium salt that is one of the most widely used phosphorus fertilizers because of its relatively high nutrient content.
Manufacturing Process
Phosphoric acid and ammonia are reacted under controlled conditions to produce diammonium phosphate. The heated slurry is subsequently cooled, granulated, and sieved. It works well with low pH soil because it includes two ammonia molecules, one of which will turn back into ammonia in an alkaline environment.
